Sr. PCB Designer

  • Location: New York

We're looking for an expert in PCB Design to work as a Senior PCB Designer, to both design effectively, as well as drive process improvement standards.

Technically, we design both in conventional SMD and thick copper boards for power conversion. We also use lots of insulated metal substrate boards.

We have moved from PADS to Altium, so we'd really like someone with Altium expertise, and ideally some experience with PADS

Most of your work will be collaborating with the electrical design and mechanical engineers as we make new company products together.

This is a hybrid position, requiring flexibility to go into our Mount Kisco, NY office up to two times a week, or as needed.

What You’ll do:

  • Develop PCB Designs that are innovative, high-quality, cost-appropriate and satisfy the stakeholder’s (Hardware Eng., Manufacturing, Mech. Eng.,Project Mgr. Etc.) needs and requirements throughout product realization.
  • Utilize Altium Designer to perform necessary design work including design creation, design analysis and design verification.
  • Responsible for preparing accurate detail and assembly drawings (conventional and exploded view).
  • Provide accurate documentation/files for PCB manufacturing.
  • Responsible for generating and maintaining accurate PCB related BOMs from schematics in our present ERP system Syteline
  • Lead the evaluation and improvement of processes, tools and methodologies to ensure best practices are used throughout the PCB group and the design center.
  • Manage updates and creation of library components and related policies and procedures. Interact with global teams/librarians.
  • Issue and implement ECNs in our SL ECN Module. Check for documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Able to communicate with people at all levels within the organization and with external customers.
  • Provide expert support to local design center as well as business units for tools, processes, and capabilities for PCB Design.

What you need:

  • Ten plus years of experience as a PCB designer.
  • Four plus years of experience with Altium Designer. Experience with Pads SW a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of PCB fabrication processes, tolerances, IPC standards.
  • Knowledge of ESD principles and practices. Analog design experience is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills

Senior Accountant (International)

  • Location: New York

We are seeking a Senior Accountant (International) to join our global consolidations team, partnering for the month-end process, accounting support for international subsidiaries, audits, business performance, and special projects. This position is important to Curtis’ ongoing profitable global growth. Particular focus will be on business partnering internationally, providing guidance to subsidiaries, and influencing non-direct reports. This role will help strengthen compliance, controls, and help drive data-driven decision-making. This position must maintain the highest level of integrity and candor at all levels of the business to gain buy-in from our sites worldwide.

This is a hybrid position, requiring flexibility to go into the office up to twice a week.

What you'll do:

  • Support the Monthly Financial Close Process. This includes: assisting in the close process (elimination entries, statutory vs. management reporting, etc.), using our ERP (Syteline) and Consolidations (OneStream) applications, auditing/reviewing financials, participating in close meetings, Super User for OneStream, and assist in data submission to Group.
  • Accounting Support for International Subsidiaries. This includes: Providing guidance/training on US GAAP and corporate accounting policies, assisting in financial reviews of subsidiaries, assist statutory reporting, audits, and visiting locations to audit findings, and ensure compliance and controls are in place (optimize where appropriate).
  • Assist with actions to improve business performance. This includes: actions to improve working capital metrics, actions to improve close and accounting processes, leading local teams in creating/implementing controls and policies for statutory requirements, and training staff.
  • Perform analysis of financial data from subsidiary companies, including a review of variances in the balance sheet and income statement.
  • Assist with Capital requests for subsidiaries; and in monthly reporting of capital expenditures and depreciation expense.
  • Support audit requests (internal/external).
  • Assist with statutory audits at subsidiary companies.

What you need:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance | CPA required.
  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Superior ability to collaborate with colleagues around the world, including understanding and respecting differences in working cultural styles, language, etc.
  • Problem-solving, analytical skills, solid business judgment, and excellent communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail with utmost ethical and business integrity.

IT Systems Administrator

  • Location: New York

Curtis Instruments is seeking a diligent and experienced IT Systems Administrator to administer and support our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing all the IT resources including workstations (desktops/laptops), servers, switches, firewalls, routers, uninterruptible power supplies, cabling, wireless support, photocopiers, printers, video cameras and displays, audio, telephones, mobile devices, and any other core or peripheral devices utilized to store, manage and communicate data. This is a critical position that ensures our talented team can do their work enjoyably and seamlessly.

This is a corporate role, with responsibilities extending beyond the local facility. This role is primarily an in-office role, with some occasional remote flexibility.

What you'll do:

  • Install and administer the client server network with all peripheral equipment. Monitor network performance and react to warnings and other suspicious indications.
  • Install appropriate updates to software pertinent to Curtis' operations.
  • Promote cyber security awareness.
  • Maintain network security and business system security through employee identification and password assignments for both premise and cloud based accounts and applications. Maintain record files of the same.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with user workstations (desktops/laptops). Perform repairs including but not limited to virus, spyware, adware and other malicious software removal; software reloads; diagnosis and replacement of failed components such as hard disk drive, power supply, motherboard, video card, network interface card, RAM, etc.
  • Administer, respond to and support the HelpDesk functions.
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported concerning general office equipment including printers, copiers, scanners, cameras, projectors, etc. Coordinate with external resources as required.
  • Assist the IT staff at other Curtis facilities as required for installations, troubleshooting, repairs providing 2nd level support when required, coordinating to obtain 3rd level expert support if necessary.
  • Perform configuration changes along with additions/deletions to the servers and network perimeter devices (firewalls, routers, switches) around the Curtis world.
  • Perform configuration changes along with additions/deletions to Curtis’ web interfaces including Lunarinside, caWeb, Citrix, FTP, Teams, Sharepoint and other web based applications.
  • Monitor and maintain the Curtis AD, DNS, DHCP, SUS, WINS, Radius server, Certificate and Exchange databases globally along with LAN, WAN and VPN environments.

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum: Associates Degree with specialized training in computer science with 4 years experience or 10 years practical experience. Preferred: BS in Computer Science and 3 years experience
  • Professional Certification is one or more of the technologies deployed by Curtis is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in Windows and Linux based hardware/software for servers and client stations. Ability to analyze, trouble shoot problems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) concepts and practical experience of establishing and maintaining said networks in a healthy efficient state.
  • Advanced knowledge of Internet based communication protocols including IP addressing, VPN, MPLS, SSL, etc.
  • Advanced Knowledge of the concepts of router, switch and firewall configurations and practical experience of maintaining said hardware configurations.
  • Working knowledge of SyteLine ERP business system software and SQL databases is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MAC based hardware/software a plus
  • Knowledge of Progress database a plus
  • Experience with the installation of software and initial configuration of both server and client hardware.

Director of Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP)

  • Location: New York

The Director of Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) is a key leadership position, reporting directly to the VP and General Manager, Curtis. This position will require an experienced /SIOP leader able to facilitate and drive results in a fast paced and demanding growth environment, leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

This role will be challenged to implement a fit for purpose SIOP process for Curtis to improve customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory turns, lead times and working capital. The core functions of the position include strategic and tactical decision-making processes related to balancing demand and supply; aligning volume and mix with capacity and capability; and integrating financial and operating plans within strategic objectives to deliver improved operating and financial results.

This is a hybrid position, requiring two times a week in our Mount Kisco, New York office, or as needed.

What you’ll do:

  • This position is responsible for developing a fit for purpose SIOP strategy and execution;
  • Prepare data and material for monthly SIOP meetings that will facilitate decisions around production planning, equipment, labor and all other resources needed to support demand over the SIOP planning horizon. Coordinate and facilitate the monthly SIOP meetings to achieve the demand plan consensus including strategic, product, sales, and marketing activities as well as supply plan balance and constraints/gaps.
  • Leads cross functional teams in relation to international inventory related matters, including Transportation, Operations, Inventory, and Planning;
  • Responsible for capacity modeling processes, as well as establishing governance regarding adjustments to forecasting and order backlog, and assumptions that revise capacity;
  • Manage the aggregation of the demand plan process, producing a rolling 12-18 month estimate of unconstrained future demand in units.
  • Assist in the documentation of assumptions incorporated in the demand and supply plan and validate past assumptions.
  • Develop support metrics, tools and reporting that will enable Manufacturing plants and Procurement teams to achieve these service level and inventory targets.
  • Track performance metrics and analysis to identify both opportunities and potential issues within SIOP processes and reporting as well as those across departments; provide insights and recommendations to help improve results.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics; Distribution to evaluate the demand/production plan against inventory, capacity and external factors and to create mitigation actions if needed.
  • Identify significant business risks and escalate to the appropriate leadership teams.
  • Ensure efficient communication across functional teams for any trends, drivers, and takeaways in a clear and concise manner.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics. MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain (experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning in an environment of both manufactured and highly engineered).
  • Knowledge and experience in MRP and ERP systems inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning and analytics preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain network design, planning, and optimization
  • 8+ years of leading cross-functional S&OP/S&OE events
  • 8+ years of inventory management, planning, forecasting and transportation, DC Operations
  • 8+ years of Merchandise Planning Management, Demand Planning and Supply Chain Forecasting
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience with proven ability to hire, mentor and train large cross-functional teams
  • People management experience including strong interpersonal and leadership skills: meeting facilitation, skill sharing and training, organization, conflict management, change agent, manage relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain
  • Experience designing supply chain models

Sales Development Rep (Instrumentation)

  • Location: New York

The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for managing and growing an assigned customer base. They will create and implement sales strategy using strategic tools, achieving growth projections and fostering the principle/resale relationship.

The successful candidate will have excellent relationship building skills and a demonstrated ability to build trust at all levels with the customer organization.

This position includes a base salary with commission inventive plan.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop new customer accounts and achieve annual sales based on agreed upon annual sales goals;
  • Service existing customer accounts and develop new customer accounts;
  • Work closely with sales managers to create strategic and tactical plans to take advantage of all potential sales opportunities in the territory;

  • 3+ years of technical sales experience

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
