Basic Duties

 

  • Regular inspection and monitoring of the condition of the building, including electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
  • Coordinates with outside contractors and vendors repairing of any damage to structural elements such as walls, roofs, windows, and doors with external company.
  • Maintaining  and coordinating with outside contractors and vendors heating, air conditioning, ventilation systems and pluming.
  • Servicing electrical installations, lighting, and power lines.
  • Ensuring proper functioning of emergency and fire protection systems.
  • Performing regular preventive maintenance of equipment and systems.
  • Responding to emergency situations and ensuring prompt troubleshooting of faults.
  • Preparing reports and documentation regarding the condition of the building and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor emissions, water usage and other environmental metrics to meet regulatory requirements and prepare and submits reports monthly
  • Responsible for disposal of hazardous wastes material according to the government regulations
  • Preparing reports regarding waste of the building and manufacturing
  • Collaborating with other departments to resolve issues related to manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinating with external contractors for repair and construction activities.
  • Responsible for communication  and coordination with electricity company, water company, garbage company etc.
  • Adhering to all regulatory standards and procedures for safety and environmental requirements.
  • Preparing documentation for inspections and ensuring compliance with regulations.

 

Keeps his/her work place clean and tidy. Abides by the Internal rules of C/B (C/B Manual) and the safety rules. Informs his/her direct superior of all problems that have arisen in the course of his/her work and implements all written and oral orders coming from him, besides the above-mentioned basic duties.

Education needed:               Secondary technical education in electrical, plumbing, heating, or other related engineering disciplines.

 

Experience needed:             5 years Experience in building maintenance or relevant technical areas

 

Foreign language:               Preferably English (written and spoken)

Basic Duties

 

  • Coordinate safety compliance; maintain a comprehensive understanding of corporate policies and government regulations.
  • Formulate general safety policies and procedures for Curtis/Balkan to comply with local and government rules and regulations.
  • Make studies; participate in the investigation and analyses of industrial accidents causes, injuries and hazards to health for the use by company and, or outside agencies.
  • Develop/maintain workplace safety programs. Consult with all departments on design and implementation of safety programs.
  • Act as coordinator for Curtis subsidiaries in Europe for  Rehlko health and safety requirements and reports
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering plant layout for evacuation plan and other activities. Inspect and/or audit the facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards. Recommend corrective or preventive measures where required.
  • Examine plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included. Determine requirements for safety equipment (PPE), such as glasses, shoes, respirators, and coordinates the installation of safety devices on machinery.
  • Coordinate/conduct and document health, safety and environmental training programs, including safety orientation for all new/transfer associates.
  • Coordinate and conduct respirator fit testing/training activities.
  • Coordinate the first-aid personnel responsibilities.
  • Observe and analyze employees and operations to determine the use of prescribed safety equipment. Inspect working areas for noise, toxics and other hazards, conduct air quality test. Inspect areas for fire prevention equipment. Prepare reports of findings with recommendations for corrective action.
  • Coordinate with EPA, government (local and federal) to interpret, promote environmental programs.  Determine and set standards and enforces regulations concerned with collection and disposal of solid wastes, lead, and hazardous wastes.  Maintain low quantities of hazardous wastes material and coordinate the appropriate disposal according to local and federal regulations.
  • In conjunction with corporate EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), coordinate exposure-monitoring schedules.
  • Monitor employees, plant facilities and production areas to detect lead contamination.  Inform when individual exposures and area contamination levels approach maximum permissible limits.  Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs. 
  • Safely maintain all EHS files and records.
  • Ensure that the environmental management system for the local site conforms to the requirements of ISO 14001; supporting the audit and certification processes as required.
  • Manage activities of the safety committee and safety teams, safety audits, accident investigations, ergonomic improvement projects, emergency response planning, and safety and environmental training.
  • Review and revise as needed the health and safety program annually.
  • Organize and complete required Industrial Hygiene monitoring and requirements.
  • Coordinate training and communication activities to build management and employee understanding of and commitment to safety goals.
  • Plan, implement and monitor accident prevention and loss control programs to minimize injuries, and the costs associated with those injuries.
  • Conduct incident/accident investigations to identify root causes and to identify opportunities for accident prevention.
  • Champion on-going ergonomic improvement projects.
  • Provide project management related to ergonomic improvements, workstation layout, and correction of unsafe working conditions.
  • Oversee WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System), including coordinating annual chemical inventory listings and maintenance of safety data sheets.
  • Coordinate the requirements, reporting, testing and disposal of materials
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the effects of hazardous conditions and unsafe acts on employees.
  • Compile monthly safety reports, including analysis of incidents, injuries and illness including but not limited to frequency, causation, severity and costs.
  • Ensure completion of required emergency response planning.
  • Acts as team member/co-leader and liaison for the Curtis Instruments, Curtis/Balkan plant in Rehlko environmental and sustainability initiatives. Collaborate with Rehlko personnel in developing and maintaining the KEMS programs. Ensure compliance with the KEMS.

  • Manage the purchase of all materials for Curtis/Balkan Ltd. manufacturing, and provide arrangements to enable materials pulls.
  • Ensure timely order/purchase of all components/materials for the Curtis/Balkan manufacturing from all suppliers.
  • Provide  leadership, guidance and management to the purchasing staff
  • Identify and realize cost reduction opportunities, achieving yearly targets set by Management.

  • Perform annual ABC analysis
  • Manage purchasing material Kanban program
  • Minimize freight costs by planning for and employing surface freight methods where possible
  • Monitor and manage inventory risk exposure created by NC/NR requirements, E.O.L and L.T.B. events and other product changes announced via ECN’s
  •  Responsible for the correctness of information regarding the planning of materials and their origin, customs tariff numbers, suppliers and delivery orders in the business system. Responsible for the implementation of the ASSIST program in the import of materials made with Curtis tooling.
  • Collects and send data for suppliers’ performance, necessary corrective actions, targets (including reduction of prices) and other requirements to the suppliers.
  • Monitors and controls slow-moving materials and organizes their transfer to Curtis subsidiary, resale or scrap.
  • Provide supply assistance and guidance to Curtis’ international subsidiaries, as required
  • Ensure accurate costing of purchased materials, monitor cost variances of purchased materials and informs other departments involved.
  • Ensure that “levels and limits” policies are adhered to for all orders, freight, scrap, etc.
  • Ensure the timely submission of CBAM reports to the relevant institutions
  • Submits information for the preparation of the Inventory Reserve report
  • Inform supervisor of all unusual circumstances or problems.  Abide by all company rules policies, and procedures.  Perform other related duties as assigned.
