Production Supervisor 2nd Shift

  • Location: Puerto Rico

We're looking for a team leader and proactive Production Supervisor!

The Production Supervisor coordinates and supervises the activities of production workers engaged in the processing of electronic components and parts such as printed circuit boards (PCBs), assembly of parts or assemblies into end products, and machine operation.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall performance of assigned work centers and the people therein in terms of safety, quality, efficiency, housekeeping and communications.

  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Ensures assigned jobs are completed on time.
  • Ensures product conforms to specifications and quality standards, and is built strictly per the Manufacturing Operating Procedures. Ensures that general industry workmanship standards and materials are correctly and consistently applied.
  • Ensures all work is carried out by trained, qualified and competent operators
  • Demonstrates methods and educates workers in sequence of processing tasks and operation and control of machines and equipment if necessary. Responsible for process integrity in areas of supervision.
  • Maintains time and production performance records on a bulleting board and discuss results with the production personnel. Prepares cost, yield, breakage, and maintenance reports, and any other reports requested by Management at the end of the shift.
  • Inventories and requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies for department activities. On MRO material, such as chemicals, epoxies, RTVs, etc… keeps track of inventory vs minimum needed to maintain a months worth. If minimum is reached, he informs management and follows up with next order.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.
  • Responsible for the area's perfect housekeeping. Ensures required 5S principles are applied at all times.
  • Responsible for the safety of the workcenter and all personnel within it.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, and assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate, and educate workers to achieve work goals.

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, (B.A.) in Industrial Engineering.

 

Prefered Experience:

  • Green Belt
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience 3 years

Planner/Buyer

  • Location: Puerto Rico

We are looking for a highly motivated professional who is a fully bilingual, hands-on team player with analytical and problem solving abilities to fill the position of Planner/Buyer.

If you have the following competencies and experience, you may be just the person we are looking for.

The Planner/Buyer plans, originates, coordinate & tracks purchase orders for raw material or production orders to meet customer’s sales orders schedules. Assures orders are placed for timely delivery of material to meet production schedule.

Education and experience:

  • B. A. in Materials Management or Operations
  • 2 to 5 years in Material Management or Planning
  • Experience in project management
